 "worked fine for cutting nails" 2009-12-28

I bought these to cut nails during some demo work where the recip saw couldn't go. They worked fine for cutting nails. The package says they work best for non ferrous metals, but they seem to be able to cut 10d nails and drywall screws with no problem. I wouldn't use them to cut large pieces of steel, but then again, I wouldn't use the Multi-Max (regardless of blade) to do that either.



The only real con is the cost per blade.

A good product, but in the fine print is the warning that this blade is only for NON-FERROUS metal (i.e., no iron, no steel, and definitely no stainless). This blade should more properly be called Wood and Brass Flush Cut Blade. Again, if brass is your object, this is a good blade. If you hope to cut nails, fuhgeddaboudit!
