Dremel MM450B Multi-Max Wood Drywall Saw Blade, 3-Pack I think I just paid 15.35 + tax. When I ordered the 6300-02L-RT Re-Con Multi-Max Tool Kit. The tool itself stopped working after three days of a DIY Dry Wall Repair project. I was in Home Depot the other day, checked their price 9.98 + tax for the three pack. Cheaper and way more conveinent to buy local. Take Care

Ordered these with my refurbished Dremel Multi-Max. Great price and a nice blade for wood or drywall precision cuts. Imagine cutting drywall and almost no dust. You just have drywall particles falling to the floor where you are cutting. Hold a shop vac hose close by and you have no mess at all!

Been using this blade for longer cuts in plywood, use the other wood blades for plunge and corner cuts. One thing 'bad' about these blades is that the attacment area is not indented and you can not use the whole width of the blade for cutting.

This is the best price I have found. I would prefer to buy them in larger lots at a still lower unit cost.

Unfortunately, as with the other Multimax blades, the cost exceeds what is reasonable for the material, packaging, and shipping, but when one company has a monopoly you have few choices. I expected a longer life for the teeth, but there is no competitor (yet) making a superior product.

However, when you have a critical need for this tool -- limited space, minimal dust, precision of cut -- the cost is not the issue. My Multimax has paid for itself -- and even the expensive blades -- by saving me time.

The price is right but this is not a professional tool. I used it because our multimaster was out of blades. I had to do a demo job for some gem boxes and had to go through three layers of 3/4" material (pocket door enclosure). Not only did this tool heat-up to the point I could not hold it, it killed two blades doing one box. I then got the multimaster delivered to the site and yes, it did strain, but it got the job done. This tools is ok for home owners/weekend users, but that's about it.

The blade might be better than the Dremel MultiMax. When I tried cutting through some wood screws, the machine heated up so much that I had to stop and let it cool down. I was using low speed with little success in cutting off the end of a screw so I incresed the speed - the blade heated the screw so much that sparks started to fly and the surrounding wood began to smolder. Not a job for the Dremel - I resorted to a hack saw. Probably longer but better than burning the house down. Just be aware of limitations. I wonder how the more expensive Fein machine would perform?

"Cuts only soft metals" 2009-11-14

I needed to cut the end of a bolt and thought this "metal" blade would do the job. When I ruined the blade, I noticed on the package that it was designed for non-ferrous metals. If you want to cut aluminum foil, this is your blade. If you want to cut anything hard, you will need to find another tool or blade.
